Growing Up in Rural Oregon: My Passion for Hunting and Fishing
Growing up in rural Oregon, my passion for hunting and fishing was sparked at an early age. Some of my earliest memories are of tagging along with my family, learning the rhythms of the outdoors, and developing a deep respect for nature. These experiences shaped me and set the foundation for a lifelong love of outdoor pursuits. From tracking deer in the early morning fog to reeling in bass under the golden evening sun, the outdoors has always been a place of discovery, challenge, and fulfillment.
Honing My Skills as an Outdoorsman
As I grew older, my interest evolved into a dedicated pursuit. I spent countless hours honing my skills, learning not only the techniques but also the ethics and responsibilities that come with being an outdoorsman. These lessons taught me the importance of conservation and the need to give back to the environment that provides so much. They also instilled a desire to share this way of life with others, which ultimately led me to my current role.

Today, I am fortunate to live my passion daily as a full-time fishing guide and big game guide and the proud owner of Double M Outdoors, a Pacific Northwest-based fishing guide service. This role allows me to connect with fellow enthusiasts, share my knowledge, and help others create unforgettable experiences in the field. Whether it’s stalking game in rugged terrain, guiding clients to their first trophy, or casting a line in search of the next big catch, the outdoors is where I feel most at home. Each adventure is unique, and each story is a reminder of why I fell in love with this lifestyle in the first place.
